God’s ways are higher than ours. Throughout history He has always had someone whom He could use in special ways for special circumstances. George and Xena Al-Salty are two of those people in the world today. Through their ethnic heritage, their personal faith in Christ, their formal education, their willingness to serve, their work ethic, and their vision and strategy for reaching Arabs for Christ I wholeheartedly endorse them as servants of Christ. I encourage you to partner with them in the various ministry situations they provide.
The need has never been greater and the time has never been shorter for the church to impact the world for Christ. One of the great challenges the church faces today in her global impact is being able to make a difference in the Arab world. SALT is a ministry that God has raised up to do just that. Her vision of establishing a New Testament church in every Arab State is thrilling. Working from a new paradigm for evangelism incorporating technology and interactive methodology should be a more effective way to reach more people in less time with greater security for all who are seeking or serving. Being formally educated and prepared to meet human needs and spiritual needs (certified counseling services, information technology, seminary educated) places SALT in a unique position to have a contact level meeting point and a solid foundation to build on thereafter.
Few people could understand the Arab world any better than SALT’s George and Xena. Both were born and reared in the Middle East. They understand the culture, speak the language, and have a heart of compassion for those who so desperately need Christ. As I contemplate how I can do something that will take Christ to Arabs I choose to stand with SALT, and would recommend you stand with them also.
