Establishing a new congregation is extremely difficult in any nation but among Muslim background and Arabic speaking groups it is considered to almost be impossible. Yet, they successfully carried out their call for many years.
I am very impressed with the credential and the character of both of these Professional Counselors. First, because they worked throughout the Middle East establishing churches among Arabic speaking groups in a number of countries. Establishing a new congregation is extremely difficult in any nation but among Muslim background and Arabic speaking groups it is considered to almost be impossible. Yet, they successfully carried out their call for many years.
Because of their passion for Soul Care among the people they met, the felt a strong call to return to America to study Clinical Counseling because so many of their members and friends suffered from trauma and inner brokenness. They returned and completed that course of study along with intensive and insightful practicum experiences supervised by licensed clinicians.
George and Xena worked with me to develop a series of training classes that converts Clinical Counseling concepts into practical equipping for church and community leaders that integrates basic biblical truths with human research. Because of former training and experiences in computer science, they have translated their professional training and pastoral experiences into online classes for both English and Arabic speaking audiences. It can be thought of as Theory Into Practical Services. (TIPS)
