SALT ministries mission is proclaiming Christ to Arabs and make disciples globally. To be able to achieve this goal, we want to follow Jesus holistic model of service which will help us to connect with the Arab communities in a way to build trust and respect.

In phase 2 (2016-2017) of SALT strategic plan, we will identify young Arab potential leaders (65% of Arab population are under the age of 21), mentor and provide them with the needed resources to be able to serve their local communities. This process will mainly take place online since 87% of age group 15 to 29 own cell phones and active on social media platforms. We also will be traveling to the Arab world annual conduct workshops and other events to meet the community members and their families.

We are building an online community which will mentor the potential youth leaders to serve refugees

We formed strategic partnerships with the specialized organization to ensure a successful implementation of our plan.  The three elements which will be developed include youth leadership training in collaboration with YouthHope, media production training in collaboration with Good New Production International (GNPI), and mentoring skills/coaching training which is our specialty as professional counselors.

Our services in the Arabic language would include the following:

1. A podcast which will address the wellness model on other mental health issues.

2. A mentors training program to develop and equip the youth in three different areas:

a.  Servant leadership training which will focus on youth development

b.  Mentors training which will focus on interventions to deal with trauma and PTSD

c.  Media production training which will focus on skills to produce content for the Internet

3. As part supervised practicum experience, the trainees will coordinate online groups locally and online using the social media platforms to interact with the Arab youth especially

Our goal is not only to provide hope, faith, and direction for a future focus living, especially in the refugee youth, which will prevent them from joining radical militant groups, but also will provide us with a local Arabic speaking young leaders who are well connected and respected by their community which will help in the transformation of the 22 Arabic speaking countries.
